Dr. Shelley Kim
"Eye exams should begin before preschool. Untreated vision problems can cause major problems in academic performance, fine motor development and in life itself. Over 90% of learning comes from seeing. Did you know that it's difficult to hear when you see blur? There is a huge difference between kids who can see clearly and those who can't. As a doctor and a mother of four boys, I've seen this first-hand."
Dr. Kim has 14 years experience in the optical profession as both an optometrist and an optician. She earned her Doctor Optometry Degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. She finished her high school in Orange County, California and received her Bachelor in Biology from University of California, Irvine.
She loves the challenge of children with learning difficulties, attentions problems and specialty contact lens fitting, including asigmatism correction. Assisting patients makes her day exciting and fulfilling. She loves cooking for her four boys. She has special interest in healthy food and healing herbs.
